Scherer Violin Shop is equipped to do any repairs necessary for violin, viola or violoncello. From a musician’s perspective, we specialize in making tonal adjustments that bring out the power and potential of your instrument. Whether you have your first student level violin or an exceptional vintage instrument, we love helping each person and instrument achieve their tonal potential. The shop also does rehairs and repairs on bows.

Appraisals
Verbal Appraisals
Scherer Violin Shop offers verbal appraisals at no charge for instruments and bows of the violin family. Appointments only please.
Insurance Appraisals
Scherer Violin Shop offers written appraisals for insurance purposes. This appraisal includes a description of the instrument, identifying details, important measurements, and an assigned replacement value of the instrument based on current market prices. The cost of an insurance appraisal is 1% of the appraisal value, with a minimum of $25. Appointments only please.
